My friend, Mary, rents this picturesque little cabin in the mountains above Telluride, Colorado. When she posted a photo of her cabin on social media, I knew I had to paint it. Painting snow is so counterintuitive. But using blues and violets to communicate cold does make sense. The blues and oranges are also beautifully complementary.
